Case 131 (Chapter 1)

Leah took a sip from her coffee mug reading her favourite magazine "Spinning The Tea". She closed the book in her hand and sighed of frustration. "Something is wrong with Bella" She said getting up from the couch she was sitting on "I need to ask her what's wrong." Bella her best friend was behaving wierd since the very morning and being concerned about her Leah thought to visit her house.

She picked up her car keys and rushed out of her house. 'Why the hell is she not picking up my calls?' she thought. She drove her car as fast as she could and reached Bella's house in no time. "Hey, Bella..Where are you?!?" She shouted standing on the doorstep "Open the freaking door, girl." After a long wait, the door creaked open. Leah rushed in only to find nothing but a note written in a hurried writing in bold letters "Save Her If U Can.

Bella called Leah early in the morning at 5 am. Leah picked up the phone only to hear nothing but silence. Leah rolled her eyes and hang up. After a few minutes, the phone rang again. Leah picked up the phone and all she heard was the low voice of Bella saying "There's someone in my room..." "Help me....". Hearing this Leah freaked out. "Hey, Hey are you fine?" She said "Who's there in your room?" She kept on repeating only to find silence on the other side. Thinking it was a prank, she once again hung up the call.

Around 1 pm, the phone rang once again and this time Leah picked it up and started yelling at Bella. "Do you think this is funny?!?" She said "You literally woke me up at 5 am, calling me and saying someone's there in your room and then not replying to whatever I say!!..."  "Just stop this nonsense" She finished as she was out of breath. Once again there was silence on the other side. Leah was now sick of all of Bella's pranks but as she was about to hang up she heard Bella laughing creepily. "Stop laughing, I didn't say a joke" Leah said freaking out of her laugh. Once again there was silence...

"In this world of sorrow, there must not be a tommorow.. The time will pass...." She started singing just before the phone hung up. "God, what's wrong with her?" Leah sighed.

"Who must've written this note?" She said, throwing the note on the ground "I am sick of Bella's stupid pranks.."

"Bella!!" She yelled calling out for her best friend "Bella!!". The house was all silent and empty. With slow and steady steps she went upstairs hoping to find Bella there but she was wrong. She didn't find a trace of any human in that house. The only things she could find were the wooden furnitures that decorated the interiors and Bella's broken bead bracelet fallen on the ground scattered. She searched every single corner of the room and found fresh blood stains that led towards the window.

Leah's heart started beating faster as ever. She was feeling suffocated and scared. She was never so scared in her life unlike today. She ran out of the house. She closed the main door and sat on the stairs. Her eyes were teary and she was out of breath. She tried calling her best friend again and again but it went in vain.

She sat there and cried her heart out until she became numb. She was feeling scared and nauseous. Gaining courage, he called her friend Harry Hart, The most famous detective around Veltbury. "Harry" she said crying "B-B-Bella is missing f-from h-her house.."  "I need your h-help. Pl-please" She said stuttering.

"Just send me your location, I'll be right there" The person on the other side of the phone said.
